Harry Ye

Hello, my name is Harry Ye and I’m proud to be a member of Glee Kids. While I initially overlooked what I thought was just some performances, I realized how impactful our visits were in giving back to the community.

Many of the seniors face limited mobility, isolation, and other disabilities that can lead to loneliness and separation from society. Simply coming to visit and interact with the seniors gives them a great sense of belonging and joy in their lives. I still remember the time when I helped out one elderly woman in a crafts activity. While I thought it was just a simple conversation, she told me it was one of the nicest someone has ever treated her before. This eye-opening moment revealed just how impactful meaningful quality time was. Seeing how much our simple performances and activities brighten the seniors’ day made each visit worth the effort. 

Glee Kids has taught me so many invaluable lessons, such as the importance of fostering human connection, spending quality time, and the powerful impact love and joy can bring. I am forever grateful for all that Glee Kids has brought me and will apply these lessons, memories, and moments in whatever the future may hold.
