On December 21, 2025, our GKT volunteers visited The Park in Plano rehab center, bringing care and joy to everyone. Our leaders, Ruiheng Yan, Kevin Wang, and Daniel Liang, planned the performance and process for today’s event. 

The first to perform was our ensemble orchestra, which includes Tina Wu, Brandon Fu, Claire Zhang, and I, Ruiheng Yan. Our orchestra first played "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence," composed by Ryuichi Sakamoto. The melody was slow and lyrical, with simple yet exquisite harmonies that were deeply moving. The second piece was "A Whole New World" from the Disney movie Aladdin, a cheerful, free-spirited, and uplifting piece. These beautiful, melodious, and joyful pieces of music are captivating.

Following this, came the individual shining moments of our members, each showcasing their carefully prepared unique performances and talents. We had lyrical and melodious piano music performances that touched everyone's hearts; and cheerful Christmas songs that allowed everyone to experience the joy of this festive season; of course, there were also our viola and cello players, and each of them showcased their own brilliant talent!

Leadership work always presents various challenges, and on-site planning can be quite stressful. But I believe that with continuous practice and effort, we can all become proficient in the role of a leader!
