GKT volunteers visited the residents at Stonemere Center on March 22, 2026. They warmed the hearts of the residents and staff like a spring breeze. 

The volunteers and leaders showed strong teamwork and leadership in organizing this visit with a packed performance program enjoyed by the residents and staff alike.

Our leaders, Emma Hu, Hugo Yu, Claire Zhang, carefully introduced the program with smooth transitions between performances. Volunteers demonstrated their talents with singing, piano, string instruments, and yoyo. The guests performed Tai-Chi and traditional Chinese dance. 

Our leaders and parents engaged the residents in doing "mini-workouts" after the performance. The residents enjoyed doing easy mini exercises with their hands, arms, neck, and shoulders, following the lead of a group of volunteers. They expressed gratitude to the volunteers in person after the "micro-workouts". 

Their appreciation reminded us that engaging activities with active participant involvement benefited health and brought lasting joy. Volunteers of different ages also enjoyed themselves, moved in unison, and contributed to teamwork together.
